Andrew Christensen has always liked to express his creativity through handmade objects, especially those made of wood, so at the end of 2018, he decided to create a brand for his products and established AT Laser Co.. "In the beginning I bought a laser engraving machine more as a toy because it looks interesting, I just need to own it. I planned to engrave designs on Apple devices and other pre-made products, however, this part of the business never really took off. On the contrary. It was the need to create gifts for others that made me where I am today," Christensen said.

Today, Christensen creates household items such as signs and cutting boards, jewelry such as earrings and bracelets, and a series of gifts such as garden stakes, keychains, bookmarks and other small wood and leather gifts. "Most of the products I make now are mainly focused on earrings made of wood and leather," he said. "I never planned to make jewelry. When I needed to give my wife a quick gift, I stumbled upon it. I have the raw material (thin leather in this case), so I cut it into a set of earrings with a laser Many of the gifts he makes for birthdays and wedding gifts are centered on solid wood, carved with cutting boards and signs. "Watching a laser machine will never go out of style. My passion has always been technology. It's fascinating to be able to see that the focused laser beam can cut and engrave materials within a few microns of precision! The level of detail I can have is always It surprised me. My favorite material is wood. I like the slight smell when it burns (laser machines essentially burn the material), especially cedar wood," Christensen said. “It’s really great to be able to experience other people who are willing to spend money to buy and wear something you create. It’s interesting to see people excited about the details.”

His most recent addition is a solid cedar garden stake that is laser cut and engraved. "These mainly include typical tomato, pepper, and onion type stakes. However, in my online store, the best sellers are labeled as Harry Potter movies. My best sellers are Mandrakes, Devil's Snare and Flitterbloom, and There are 15 other types," Christensen said. The garden stakes are all made of solid cedar milled by his neighbor Tofte Sawmill. "Brian upgraded old telephone poles to boards and posts for ordering. I can use his scraps to make garden stakes and earrings. Recently some of my more popular designs incorporate cedar on his wooden boards," Christen Sen said.

In addition to the designs proposed by Christensen himself, he also handled many custom orders requested by customers. When asked what his favorite project is so far, Christensen found it difficult to come up with one. "If I had to choose, it would be a custom carved tray made of solid oak, walnut and cherry wood in collaboration with another woodworker. I am used to engraving proverbs on both sides of the board. The board is used to make A beautiful tray, as a leaving gift together with a set of cups from Tolkhiem Stoneware," he said. Some of his most unique projects are custom wooden labels made from old barn wood with an artist's brand engraved on it, and working with another artist to carve her designs on solid cedar wood panels.

Christensen is also a full-time farmer. He sells his products in The Ruby Room, his wife's salon, the Livintage boutique in the city center, and Design Consign in Brainerd, and has a small selection in Salon Alain in Clara. His products can also be found on his website atlaserco.com, and the customization request information can be obtained by sending an email directly to andrew@atlaserco.com.
