BLM GROUP USA has announced the availability of its new LT7F2 laser tube cutting system featuring a 2D cutting head. It is suitable for fabricators processing round tubes; square, rectangle, and open profiles; and special sections requiring straight, vertical cutting. Able to handle tubes from 0.5 to 6 in. and up to 15.4 lbs./ft., it is available with either a 3- or 4-kW fiber laser.

The machine features automated changeover. At the end of each batch, the loader, spindle, steady rest, and intermediate supports automatically adapt to the new section to be cut without any interruption of the production cycle. The system also offers flexible loading options. Open profiles and short or long parts can be unloaded front or back while scrap is managed automatically.

Users can pause the workflow to produce small batches, loading one or a few bars on the fly. Additionally, robotic loaders or automated storage systems can be integrated with the system for continuous production.
